The Rev. Nathan C. Brown grew up in Lebanon, Indiana, where he attended Central Christian Church. Through involvement in his home congregation and church camp in the Indiana Region, Nathan discerned a call to ministry early in life.

After graduating from Lebanon High School, Nathan attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. He graduated with a B.A. in Religion in 2002. Following undergraduate studies, Nathan matriculated to Nashville to do his Masters of Divinity at Vanderbilt Divinity School. He graduated with his M.Div and was ordained in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in May of 2005. Currently, he is completing a D.MIN in Homiletics at Sewanee’s School of Theology.

Rev. Brown has served several congregations in a variety of settings, including churches in Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia. Most recently, Nathan served eight years as the Senior Minister of First Christian Church in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

Nathan began his ministry at Sandy Springs Christian Church in January of 2018. He is passionate about preaching, teaching and outreach. Nathan loves the Church, in its many forms, but believes our ministry should always be evidence of God’s love for all people.

Nathan enjoys running, reading, playing golf, watching sports and spending time with his family. He has a wife, Marion, who is an ordained United Methodist Minister.  They have a son, Harrison, and daughter, Clara.
