Worship BandWorship Band

SSCC opens the 9:00 a.m. worship hour with songs accompanied by our Worship Band. This ensemble of all ages includes vocalists, piano, bass, guitar, drums, and guest instrumentalists. Rehearsals are held at 8:00 Sunday mornings and the composition of the band changes delightfully from week to week based on participation. We welcome more players and singers! Contact Micki González for more information.

HandBell Choir

SSCC is fortunate to own a 3+-octave set of Malmark handbells and a 3-octave set of hand chimes. Ringers of all skill levels participate in the Handbell Choir and play inBells worship periodically throughout the program year of September to May. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 6:15 - 7:15. Musical selections often employ fun percussive techniques like plucking, martellato, thumb-damping, and the use of mallets. If you have rung bells before, or would like to try, please join us! Contact Micki González for more information.

“Handbells and chimes bring a unique dimension to the music presented at our worship services, particularly given the many different ways the handbells can be played. We enjoy playing the music and the congregation is very appreciative of our efforts.”
Bob Trusty, Handbell Choir
