Children and Youth

Children and Youth are at the center of our church life at SSCC.  We make it a priority to welcome, listen to, and minister to the children and youth of our community.  Leslie Raymer directs our children's programming.  Andy Torbert is the Interim Youth Director.

Children
We support the spiritual growth of our children through traditional programs such as Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and our nursery which emphasize bible literacy and values formation in the context of fun, creativity, and devotion.

And we provide additional opportunities for children, including:

• Children Worship and Wonder, an innovative approach to children's worhip
• Peaceable Adventures Club (PAC), a "pre-youth group" whose members (1st - 4th graders) learn to worship and serve together

Youth
For more than 50 years Sandy Springs Christian Church has been the home of vibrant, life-changing youth ministry. We work hard to maintain a tradition of

• Spiritually mature and effective youth ministers
• A warm and caring atmosphere with deep interpersonal relationships
• Significant involvement of parents and other adult church members
• Life-changing opportunities, especially Sunday evening youth group gatherings and more than 14 youth mission trips to Mexico

At SSCC, our middle and high school aged members are not just ministered to, they lead in Sunday morning worship, teach children at VBS, serve as counselors at Christian camps, help the disadvantaged, and serve as deacons and in other church leadership roles.
