Children Worship & Wonder

Children Worship & Wonder (CW&W) is a nationally recognized children's worship program based on the principles of Maria Montessori. Its foundation is the belief that children should be respected for having their own relationship with God.

Each Sunday, children ages three through seven experience a Biblical story in simple ways with visual and tactile learning aids called manipulatives. Children are encouraged to respond to the stories with prayers, meditation and artistic activity.

The stories are encountered individually, and participants relate them to their own faith journey. Children take ownership of and know these stories, they repeat them and make them their own. CW&W is appropriate for children of all learning capabilities.

Children Worship & Wonder is offered during the 11:15 AM worship service. Children attending CW&W leave the sanctuary during the Doxology to be greeted at the Children's Welcome Table, and are then escorted to the Children's Worship Room (Room 205), where their caregiver may meet them immediately following the service.

Children of all ages are always welcome to stay in the sanctuary to share in the worship service with their parents.

Similar worship content is available in the nursery during all services and during Sunday School for children three years old and younger.
