Small Groups

Many Christians find that their spiritual growth is enhanced in a caring, interactive group where they are free to ask questions and feel the support of fellow group members. For many, small groups are not part of the church - they are the church.

SSCC has long been home to several small groups, most of them created by members who share common interests such as outreach, Bible study, gardening, bridge, food. Our Friday morning men's Bible study fills the church conference room each week, and the women's group Chrysalis enriches many lives.

This fall SSCC is significantly expanding small group ministry through Covenant Groups. Informational meetings were held in August, and groups will begin forming in September.

We expect our Covenant Groups to

  • Enhance spiritual growth
  • Offer the chance to develop meaningful relationships and lasting friendships
  • Provide the opportunity for visitors, new members, and non-members to make meaningful connections

Keep an eye on the Wellspring and Chalice Chat newsletters for more information about this exciting development in our church life.
