Katie Brewer-Calvert

Director of Youth Ministries

The SSCC staff and leadership were very excited to welcome our new Director of Youth Ministry, Katie Brewer-Calvert in June of 2023. Katie brings a lifetime of experience in the Christian Church, raised in the First Christian Church of Decatur. She comes to us having served John’s Creek Christian Church as Youth Director for four years and she serves as a sponsor of the Youth Activities Council (YAC) supporting the Regional Youth Assembly. Many of our SSCC youth and families also know Katie from Camp.

Katie brings a creative flair to the SSCC youth program with her Bachelor of Arts, Theatre Major, and French Minor from Transylvania University in Lexington, KY.

Katie is passionate about working with youth and looks forward to serving at Sandy Springs Christian Church. She can always be talked into eating Mexican food and continuing her quest to find the best queso in Atlanta.
