Rev. Teddy Ivey

Director of Congregational Care

Beginning on April 16th, 2021, Teddy started as the Director of Congregational Care at SSCC. He and his family are very excited about this new role and the work to be done. He wants you to know that when you need to speak, he will be ready to listen. Congregational Care also means more to me than times of crisis. It is a relationship built throughout the ups and downs of life and he would love to know you in them all. Please let him know about basketball games, community theatre or high school theatre productions, or new and exciting opportunities in any part of your life. We want to celebrate and experience each moment with you and your families. What a joy and opportunity God has given us in this way. If you ever want to contact him, you can email him at Teddy@sandyspringscc.org.

Teddy’s Bio: Teddy grew up in Athens, GA.  After staying in town to attend UGA, Teddy moved to the Georgia Coast and eventually the Georgia mountains to work in the field of environmental education. He worked his way through a Master of Divinity degree with a certificate in pastoral care at McAfee School of Theology in Atlanta and was ordained at SSCC in August of 2022. His wonderful wife, Lauren, is a high school teacher in Fulton County and they have an amazing young daughter, Emily. In his spare time, Teddy enjoys all Atlanta sports, finding local stand-up comedy, and being outside on days the pollen count isn’t insane. He looks forward to getting to know each of you and being a part of God’s community here in the Atlanta area.
