J.A.M. (Jesus and Me) Children’s Group
Beginning in September, our J.A.M. Kid’s Club (ages Pre-K-5th grade) will meet on the second and fourth Sundays of each month after church from 11:30-1:30 pm and on other special occasions for a time of fellowship, worship, and service to others in a fun environment. J.A.M. activities are designed to help children begin their faith journey by discovering God in fellowship and scripture and by encountering God in service to our neighbors and strangers.
Some of the many service projects our J.A.M Kids have participated in include helping lead Vespers worship at Campbell-Stone Retirement Center, writing letters to US soldiers serving abroad, wrapping Christmas presents for Lake Forest Elementary kids, decorating and packing school supply bags for needy elementary children, and participating in SSCC’s annual Trunk-n Treat event at Halloween.
We also love interacting with scripture through storytelling and drama, arts and crafts, cooking, singing and games. We know that there are many ways in which children encounter God and we love explore and watch the children grow as they learn that we worship an awesome God that is always with us. Come join us!
