Director of Congregational Care
Before my retirement I spent the last 8 years with the American Cancer Society as Manager of Program Education in 13 Ohio counties. Prior to that I spent 5 years with the Make-A-Wish Foundation as Manager of Wish granting for Central Ohio. I had many, many hours of training from both organizations before visiting families in health crisis both in hospitals and in homes. I also worked with children and adults in late stages of life and I ran breast cancer support groups.
While serving as an Elder the last three years and while visiting in homes and hospitals I was reminded of how much I enjoyed my former career, so I am excited to once again be serving in this area of care.
We have many hardworking church volunteers already giving their time and talents toward congregational care in many different areas. My role is to coordinate these different areas to give the care each member needs and deserves. I also make calls, write notes, and visit our members in hospitals and homes when asked by Nathan to assist.
I am open to new ideas and suggestions and would love to hear yours. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you know of a church member who is in need of prayer or care.
