December 21st: While we celebrate and anticipate the joy of this season, we also recognize that the holiday season is not cheerful for everyone. On this day of the longest night of the year, we will release our virtual Blue Christmas service for your viewing and participation. This will be our chance to acknowledge any grief, sadness, or lack of joy that may arise during this time of year. The service themed Abide With Me will help those missing the excitement of the season.
On the morning of December 24th, at 10:15 am we will worship joyfully as we light the candle of Love and make final preparations for the coming of the Christ child. We will have special guest musicians, sing songs of praise and familiar Christmas favorites, and hear a message from Pastor Nathan titled Messing with our Mundane during this family-friendly service.
Then, on the evening of December 24th, we will continue our tradition of a Candlelight Communion Christmas Eve service at 6:00 PM. This service will be we be a more contemplative, reflective experience than our morning service, as we move from the final hours of waiting to the birth of the baby Jesus.
The morning of December 31st, we will welcome in the new year by welcoming home several of our young adults for Young Adult Sunday! We will be led by several returning college students and youth in this special service. Come support them and worship at 10:15!
The morning of January 6th, we will end the Christmas season with Epiphany. Pastor Nathan will preach a sermon titled Another Leaf in the Table as we meet for the first time in 2024. Come and let us continue to worship the Christ child.
